Can I trust again?
God assembled you perfectly in the womb. His love for you is so great, like no love you have ever felt. Your talents, interests, likes, preferences, dreams, and your physical being, your face, your limbs and agility, your strength and perceived weaknesses – all knit together to equip you for a custom-made destiny HE has for you. How you see yourself needs to be adjusted to His perspective to be able to see the grace He has given you. How HE sees you. No more, NO LESS.
When you add darkness to this equation, the twisting, the hurts, and the learned insecurities add junk in the filters that change how we process. LIES about life, self-image, love, and all that God created for our good, get tainted in our perception. The hurts, disappointments, hopelessness, and loss become infected soul wounds. Then the enemy then uses these hurts as hooks, like reins on a horse, attached to those wounds, and are used to steer you. You give the lies power by believing them, and then acting in them.
First a hurt. Then an emotion. Then your mind makes a choice. The your will begins to ACT. You have now become an agent of the lie.
Misery comes through lies. We need to stop listening to these lies, and learn to recognize them. We must REJECT the thoughts and messages that are contrary to what God has told us in His word. Then use His word to defeat the enemy before he sets the hook.
Considering all this, the control of the mind, will, and emotions will determine WHO sits on the throne of your life. Ultimately it is either GOD who sits in that place, or the ILLUSION that it is you in control, when in reality it is the enemy of your soul that is pulling the strings hooked into your wounds.
Herein lies the battle. Scripture shows the way to be victorious, and how to break the chains of the enemy. You can be free. Jesus paid for it. The truth will set you free. This process is called deliverance.
The darkness has been working your whole life to mess you up. God has a plan to straighten you out.
